However, survivors of gender-based violence can often be isolated and not receiving the love and support they need and deserve. “The MfM Newborn Baby Bundles and/or Postpartum Recovery Kits have been a profound help for our families. Not only are the families able to be prepared with items for their children right before birth, but having items that help with care after birth truly makes a difference. All our families come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and these items are not readily available for them due to their economic insufficiency. Lastly, providing them with the Postpartum Recovery kits puts an emphasis on the need to care for themselves after giving birth to their baby."
