Honoring Where We Began. Inspiring Where We’re Going
For more than a decade, Moms for Moms ensured that single mothers in New York City had the essentials and dignity they deserved as they welcomed their new baby into the world. What began as a grassroots initiative around a dining room table grew into a citywide movement fueled by volunteers, partners, and the belief that no mother should enter parenthood without support.
From 2014–2026, we provided Newborn Baby Bundles and Postpartum Recovery Kits, each filled with high-quality essentials that helped moms heal and babies thrive during one of life’s most vulnerable moments.

Why We Shifted Our Focus:
In 2025, a large national nonprofit with significant funding and statewide reach launched a similar initiative for newborn and postpartum essentials in New York. This is something we always hoped would happen: more mothers receiving the critical items they need to care for their babies.
Rather than duplicate services, we recognized an opportunity to evolve.
Because while essentials help mothers survive those early days…
Opportunities help them build a future.
This moment marks mission accomplished and a meaningful new beginning.
