For more than a decade, we supported single mothers with essential newborn and postpartum items. In 2026, a large national nonprofit with significant funding launched a statewide essentials program in New York, helping even more mothers access what they need. This is something we helped advocate for, and we see it as mission accomplished.
Rather than duplicating services, we’re expanding our focus to education and career training programs because long-term stability is key to a mother’s future.
Yes, through the first half of 2026, we will continue distributing kits through our existing agency partners. After that transition period, we will no longer provide product-based support.
We are creating education and career training support to help single mothers build skills, pursue meaningful employment, and create long-term financial security for their families. These offerings may include access to career certifications, vocational training, mentorship, financial literacy support, and help overcoming barriers like childcare or transportation.
Newborn and postpartum essentials help mothers through a crucial starting point. But we know that a mother’s ability to earn, grow, and pursue her goals has the greatest impact on her family’s future. We’re building programs that invest directly in those opportunities.
We are currently building partnerships and gathering information for our launch in the summer of 2026. Single mothers who are interested can join our interest list and be the first to know when program applications open.

Yes! As we transition, volunteer opportunities will shift from product-packing events to mentoring, skill-sharing, and support roles connected to education and employment readiness. Sign up to receive future volunteer opportunities as they become available.
We will continue working closely with community agencies, shelters, hospitals, and workforce development partners to strengthen the connections that help mothers move from hardship to independence.
