Moms for Moms mission is to empower single mothers by providing critical postpartum and newborn essentials to lessen the stress that comes with living in poverty.
What We Do
Our goal is to deliver postpartum and newborn essentials that have a
true impact on the lives of the mothers we serve.
Many women enter motherhood surrounded with support, they have baby showers and community, and postpartum groups. They transition into this vulnerable new identity with a safety net intact and their material needs met. But in NYC alone, there are over 15,000 single mothers who enter this vulnerable stage of their life without any of these supports. Moms for Moms is there in THAT moment, with a care package that meets their urgent needs as well as connections to resources that will support them on their motherhood journey.
We believe all mothers deserve to be honored and supported during their postpartum experience.
How we GIVE
Newborn Baby Bundles: We support new mothers with the essential items needed most after the birth of a child, such as diapers, wipes, clothes, baby wash, blankets and more.
Postpartum Recovery Kits: We create and distribute care packages to pre- and post- natal women filled with the self-care items new mothers need most after childbirth.
